Ok, feeling like the first time on ice skates, let's see what this Blog experience is all about. Is anything I take the time to write ever going to be as sharp, witty, astute, erudite as so many wonderful blog examples out there?

I am sorry that I did not get to this sooner... Whoa!!! Yes, it does feel like the first time on skates! The word I would choose to use is... "iffy" (if we can call it a word). That's what this is like. Okay... Going to check out the rest of this site. Thanks for the invite!

Now you have a place log all of your stories about your guys.
I just wish I could convince my domestic partner (no, not Misty, the other one) to start logging some of her stories, from work, from life. But I'd guess many would be about her students, so the statue of limitations might have to be allowed to pass before publishing.
Say, when are you going to get another dog, anyhow? I was out on the AKC web site last night (insomnia often takes you off the beaten path), and looked up our favorites: Borzoi, Kuvasz & my new favorite, the Scottish Deerhound (http://www.akc.org/breeds/scottish_deerhound/index.cfm)
The S. Deerhound, *I think* is the breed with a minor role in a book I'm working through by one of my favorite authors, Charles McCarry's Bride of the Wilderness.
Anyway, a good site to check out. See the 'Did you know..' section under each breed for interesting facts.

Regarding your dog choices... Beautiful dogs... all need a lot of exercise (like you do!!!) Are you guys really serious about getting a dog?!?!? I think Misty is going to be around forever!!!
At least wait for Katie to get a little taller to get a tall dog. :)
